Chocolate Chip & Flaked Sea Salt Cookies

Ingredients
+ 6 ounces (12 tablespoons) Imperial Olive Butter Olive Oil
+ 3/4 cup packed brown sugar (we use light brown)
+ 1 egg
+ 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (2 cups if not using dry milk powder)
+ 1 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
+ 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
+ 12 ounces chocolate chips (we use dark chocolate)
+ 1/2 cup granulated sugar
+ 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
+ 2 tablespoons dry milk powder
+ 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
+ 1/4 cup flaked sea salt
Optional
+ 12 ounces chocolate chunks (in place of chocolate chips)
+ 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar and butter flavored olive oil in a large bowl and mix with a wooden spoon.
3. Stir vigorously for at least a minute, making sure the sugars and olive oil are mixed will.
4. In a separate cup, mix the egg and vanilla extract. Then add to the sugar mixture in the large bowl.
5. Stir until the mixture gathers a glossy sheen, about another minute.
6. Next, stir in the chocolate chips (add nuts at this time if you choose to add to cookies).
7. Form dough in a golf sized ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or silpat mat.
8. Place golf sized ball dough about 2 to 3 inches apart.
9. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown around the edges, but still soft in the middle.
10. Sprinkle cookies with flaked sea salt immediately after removing from oven.
11. Transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Enjoy with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee.
